1989...Why Not?

A lot of O's fans recall the wonderful 1989 season...the year that probably went down in O's history as the most fun, satisfaction and pride any fan had in a non-pennant winning year other than 1982.

Many comparisons were made between the post All-star O's of 2000, the younger team of 2001, and those 89 O's. Only time will tell if the accomplishments of these Birds can meet the legacy of that magic season.

We're going to cover that season, as this one goes along. If It does match up, that WOULD be wonderful. If it doesn't, we'll at least have these memories of a truly glorious moment in Orioles history. Look for the updates to be listed in the "articles" column at the top, and then click on the "1989" on the menu board to view it. These will be archived right here for your reading any time you wish to start the series.

The first installment will highlight how the O's got to 1989...I think you may see interesting parallels when comparing the recent travails of the O's with their late 80's counterparts.
